Heat Treat Certification – Conway & Robison

HT Certified through Conway & Robison, LLC

Anderson Forest Products (AFP) follows the heat treat certification requirements of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) ISPM 15 Guidelines for Regulating Wood Packaging Material and the United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS).

All pallets, crates, boxes, and pallet material furnished by AFP are heat treated in approved heating chambers to a core temperature of 56 degrees Celsius for at least 30 minutes, and then stamped with the approved IPPC HT mark per the requirements that are in effect at the time of manufacture.

Plywood used in the manufacture of end fitments and flanges does not have to go through the heat treating process because it undergoes a heat and pressure procedure during the gluing process. Therefore, plywood is exempt from the IPPC heat treating regulations for wood packaging material.

AFP is accredited and audited on-site monthly by Conway & Robison, LLC as part of their Quality Assurance Program for Heat Treatment, which has been approved by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC), and is in compliance with the International Plant Protection Commission (IPPC) Guidelines for Regulating Wood Packaging Material in International Trade (ISPM 15).

AFP has been accredited and continuously enrolled in the Heat Treatment Program since October 12, 2001 and is authorized to use the Conway & Robison audit mark stamp number US-03395.
